What is a bin file?

A bin file is is a copy of an access cards Electronically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM).

Bin - short for Binary image - is essentially a carbon copy of the EEPROM on either your card or someone else's. We read the EEPROM, then save as a .bin.

Binary is a collection of zeros and ones which the computer is able to understand and produce a desired result. Binary would look something like this: 01001110010011101
